Ben Douglas, MD FACS

         Dr. Benjamin Douglas, a native of Tryon NC, founded Mountain ENT in 1985. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, School of Medicine in 1975, and completed his internship at Shands Hospital in Florida the next year. He finished his residency training in ENT at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1982. After serving as ENT physician to the troops at Fort Bragg, he returned to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Dr. Douglas has a special expertise in the care of children with ENT disorders. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.




John E. Buenting, MPH, MD

         Dr. John Buenting is a native of California and has lived in North Carolina since 1991. He joined Mountain ENT in 2003. Dr. Buenting received a Masters degree in Public Health and the MD degree from Tulane University in 1991 and completed his Otolaryngology Surgery residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1996. He stayed as a faculty member at UNC, rising to the rank of Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Buenting is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. His areas of interest include pediatric and general otolaryngology, allergy and sinus problems, ear disease and thyroid disorders.
